Volivoli Resort, Fiji. Diving the Bligh Water.
WHAT IS THIS ALL ABOUT
Alan Wiggs has been running dive trips for his university mates since the beginning of time. He’s a super keen underwater photographer, if he could grow gills and live underwater he would. Alan has had articles published in many different dive magazines This is a conglomeration of his facebook page and PDF booklets to pop all of the information in the one, easily accessible place and to clearly show all of the trips that are on offer. As his daughter, developing an interest in scuba diving wasn’t really and optional pursuit. At the age of 14 I went diving with tiger sharks in Fiji (shortly after receiving my open water qualification), and have been on a trip every year since I was born! I’m very excited to start leading my own trips and follow in my Dad’s footsteps.
So what’s this about? Scuba diving; phenomenal scuba diving at that.
We’ve been lucky enough to lead over well over 50 dive trips and hundreds of people overseas. We look forward to running more incredible trips soon.

Our Current Trips:
Mike Ball Spoilsport 7 day Barrier Reef Dive Odyssey November 9 - 16 2023
The Great Barrier Reef, has over 900 small islands and coral cays, 3,000 stand-alone reefs, more than 1,500 species of fish and over 200 bird species, this vast area makes up the most extensive coral reef system in the world, it’s not surprising that this is one of the 7 natural wonders of the world and a World Heritage Site.
Located about 96 kilometres north of Cairns, lies a string of long narrow reefs numbered from 1 to 10, known as the Ribbon Reefs. The Cod Hole is the most well-known dive site and is home to a group of very friendly potato cod, reaching up to 100 kilograms. These giant fish approach divers quite closely, and can be hand fed at the site. Coral pinnacles and drop offs attract large pelagic fish and a wide variety of marine life. Other significant sites include Lighthouse Bommie, Pixie Pinnacle and Steve’s Bommie. (pictured on the right from my 2021 trip ………………)
Palau, Micronesia staying at Cove Resort, Koror April 2-9 2024
I dived Palau way back in 2004. Back then, there were direct flights Darwin - Koror and it was a pleasant quick route. But that option was shortlived and over recent years, the only way to get to this much sought-after dive paradise was via Taipei and Guam with an overnight both ways. This made it a very expensive and arduous journey. But now, Air Niugini have started up weekly flights Port Moresby-Koror direct. This is a game changer - a 3 hour flight from Brisbane followed by 2 hours at Moresby airport; then a 3 and a bit hour flight to Koror and you’re there! Making this one of our more accessible destinations - only 8 hours or so ex Brisbane. And the diving is legendary - the stuff of Attenborough documentaries.
Palau is world class diving in every respect. Dive sites such as Blue Corner; Big Wall Drop-off; Ngedebus Gardens and Blue Holes are renowned both for their biodiversity and big fish action. This is a little different to our normal resort-on-the-beach destination. Almost all accomodation is in Koror itself - Cove Resort is a resort style hotel with the largest pool in Palau. And the Sea Kayaking trips are highly recommended.
Siladen Island, North Sulawesi June 25-July 6 2024
“Siladen Island Resort and Spa” – doesn’t sound like a full on dive resort does it? But with six dive guides; a top notch instructor; 3 dive boats complete with countless deck hands; a well equipped dive shop; 70 x 12 litre tanks and PADI courses to Divemaster level, this is an extremely comprehensive dive operation. With 40 sites available close by, diving is the central activity of the resort but is well complemented by the Spa operation. Here one can enjoy idyllic aromatherapy massages, lulled by the waters lapping on the beach into a dangerously relaxed state! Or consider the various skin and beauty treatments available. Sipping ginger tea overlooking Manado Tua after a coconut scrub massage, I have never felt more at peace.
